      Getting the Job Done

Following the destruction of Superstorm Sandy in 2012, Gross Electric was asked to perform emergency electrical work at Coler Hospital on Roosevelt Island in NYC. The work completed by Gross Electric enabled the hospital to stay operational while others across the city were forced to evacuate their patients.

Due to the efforts displayed by Gross Electric at Coler Hospital, we were also called to provide a design build of the power distribution for Bellevue Hospital after the devastating storm. A team consisting of over 150 craftsmen was sent out to install all new power distribution to this 1,200–bed hospital within only 100 calendar days. Gross Electric’s ability to complete safe, quality work in such a timely manner facilitated the reopening of Bellevue Hospital, with full services, far sooner than others in the city. As a company, it feels good to be able to make such a huge impact at a devastating time.
